Halloween Par-tay!

The girls were so talkative and excited! Of course, they all looked absolutely adorable in their Halloween costumes! We missed Katie. We are sure that she was the cutest little ladybug! It was nice to have Ashley and Carston there for some of the time too :)!

Halloween Handprint Craft

I absolutely love how these cute little cats turned out! I'll be saving Trisha's for years to come! How fun is the circle of girls in the background of Kyla's picture?!

Firestone Fire Station Field Trip

Our local fire station helped us have a memorable field trip! We learned all about fire safety and even explored the fire trucks and ambulance!

Halloween Rainsticks on a Rainy Day

I love how our rainsticks were started on a rainy day! The girls were really interested in this musical instrument. We watched a youtube video and then made our own-complete with Halloween decor!

Guest Music Teachers!

How lucky were these girls?! On two separate days, they had FANTASTIC music lessons from two FANTASTIC musical mommies! I can't say enough about them! The girls learned short notes/long notes, heard a story sung to them, played around with beats on cute drums, danced, learned the musical alphabet, played songs on pipes (I'm sure there's a more technical name for them-LOL!), and sang a fun and creepy Halloween song. How blessed we were with these talented mommies donating their time to us! Thank you, Shanaine and Carli!

Pumpkin Tamborines!

These girls love to paint, so we combined painting with our two themes this month: Music & Halloween! Some of them wanted "crazy" pumpkin faces. You can probably guess which ones they are! Ella wanted to match her pumpkin face for the 3rd picture!

Field Trip to Harney Park

Wow! We were SO excited to go the the park for our first Field Trip! My heart melts as I look at the pictures of us walking to the park together. Imagine 6 adorable girls giggling, skipping, holding hands, and enthusiastically helping their teacher pull a wagon!  At the park, we learned about stretching our muscles (Magic Word of the month!) before exercising, we impressively ran around the track, played a game where we acted out silly sea animal actions, and of course, played on the playground! Jamie brought Michael too, as seen in one picture. And Peyton's hair shows the crazy wind that joined us for some of the time!

Body Parts!

Katie was taking her turn showing us what her stomach looks like in the inside of her body. I LOVED the girls' enthusiasm and interest in September as we learned all about how their bodies work. I think Kyla had an interesting fact almost every time! We might have some future doctors and nurses in this group! :)

Letter C

Cutting and pasting is a new adventure for most of the girls. They were concentrating so well with the Letter C activity!

Movin' and Groovin' with Scarves!

Bean Bag Boogie

Part of our Body & Health Unit! (I made the Bean Bags!)

Pattern Necklaces!

We made Fruit Loop patterns and necklaces! Most of the patterns didn't make it onto our necklaces (and some fo the Fruit Loops made their way to our tummies), but we loved it!

Writing Boards

Katie was proud to show us a word that she picked from our sentences about the Girl of the Week! Each week a girl is interviewed and we discuss and write words about her answers. I think this pic is from Peyton's week!

Happy Birthday Ella!

We missed Ella on her real birthday (first day of school), but the girls were thrilled to have a celebration for her the very next week on her return! Rachel read them a cute Pinkalicious story while they ate pretty pink cupcakes (of course!), and shared some cutie patootie baby pictures of sweet Miss Ella!

Obstacle Course Day!

As part of our Body & Health Unit, we had an exciting backyard obstacle course! The girls were so cute as they giggled and ran through the activities over and over. Trisha kept yelling, "Feel your heart! Feel your heart!" Must be the teacher's daughter ;)!

First Day: Patterns!

Who doesn't like to play with their snack?! The girls thought it was so fun to make patterns with marshmallows & fishies.
